Awards Management - Personnel/employee from Artist Aloud - Hungama Digital Media Ent. Pvt. Ltd. Responsible for conducting the
Advisory Board /Jury- a body that provides non-binding strategic advice & free and fair conduct to the Awards property.
Participant - Any independent artist or independent music label that sends in an application form to participate in the Awards.
Nominee - Any organization/individual/song/album short-listed by the Jury eligible to be a winner.
Album – A collection of songs either 3 or more in number or a playing time of over 15 minutes.
Single – An isolated release d which is not part of an album.
Debut – A song/album released for the first time by an artist in India.
E&YY - Official tabulators, Process Advisors & Evaluators to the Awards
All self-released or independent record label release is eligible. [This includes Independent releases distributed by a major label] and originals.
Music Producers/ Music Labels/ Independent Artistes who wish to send their entry but do not hold IPR over music or are not owner or creators of the music must obtain an NOC from the holders of IPR and submit the same with the entry form. The participating artistes or bands must be of Indian origin, Indian descent or holders of Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) card.
Artistes of other than Indian origin, Indian descent or holders of OCI card if contributed partially or fully to an Independent music
album released in India and holding copyrights in India will be eligible.
Categorization of songs will be approved by the Advisory Board/Jury/Management. The Jury/Management retains the right to
re-categorize an entry.
Music which is largely not attributable to the listed categories would not be permitted to participate. Determination of the same is at
the discretion of the Advisory Board/Jury.
Submissions to all Song categories must be original.
Album and Music Producer entries must be primarily original material (except Tribute Album)
Artist Aloud – Hungama will call for entries from independent artistes / Independent Music Labels along with application form for the same.
Categorization of songs will be approved by the award management who retains the right to re-categorize an entry into a particular award category based on the assessment genre of music by award management or jury.
Incomplete Application Forms received in any manner will disqualify the applicant from participating in the Awards.
Entries will be accepted in English language only.
If during the course of the Awards, it is discovered that an entry/winner has a dispute registered/pending against it before a court of law, the Awards Management reserves the right to declare an entry/winner ineligible and/or withhold any Award until the dispute is resolved.
Entries received will be assessed by the award management to check the adherence to the rules defined. Disqualification of entries received is at the sole discretion of Awards Management, on a case by case basis. Award management reserves its right to reject any application from Applicant or refuse to accept any application without assigning any reason what so ever. Awardmanagement is not liable to respond to the participant about reasons for rejecting a particular entry.
Winners Determination - Jury‘s Choice
Curators will evaluate the collated list of eligible entries and determine up to 5 short-listed nominees for pre-defined award categories.
Curators will score every entry on the scale of 1 to 10 points (10 being the best).
Response will be collated and tabulated by official tabulators to determine the top 5 nominees in the pre-defined categories.
Final jury will evaluate Top 5 nominees for each of the award category.
Final jury will be requested to the score every entry on the scale of 1 to 10 points (10 being the best).
Final jury’s response will be collated and tabulated by official tabulators to determine the winner in each of the pre-defined categories.
There could be one or more Winners in each category, at the discretion of the Final Jury.
The Jury’s decision is final and binding on all Nominees.
Applicants understand and agree that mere participation in the Awards does not entitle Applicants to win a prize.
The Jury may decide, in order to maintain high standards of these awards, that there could be no Winner in a particular category.
Winners Determination - Popular Choice Awards
All entries shortlisted by Curators in each award category will be nominated to be eligible for online public voting.
