Avanti Patel- Born in Leeds, UK, Avanti started her life in a totally English environment. Her special singing talent was noticed even by her nursery teachers in UK who wished her goodbye with tearful eyes when she sang “ All things bright & beautiful” for them. On her return to India, she learnt Gujarati & Marathi rather quickly in a short span of 1 year. Having a Gujarati father & Marathi mother & a strong grandparental support, she has been fluent in 4 languages from the age of 5 years.

She started learning music from Mrs Varsha Bhave from the age of 5 and presently she is pursuing Hindustani classical music since the last 5 years. She was encouraged to perform on the stage through Kalangan, an organization for cultural development of children, from the age of 6 years. Never fazed by any number of audiences, she has always enjoyed performing live, where she actually becomes the song!

It is this very ability which helped her secure a place amongst the top 50 children, out of a staggering number of 10,000 kids, in the Idea Sa Re Ga Ma Pa little champs, Zee Marathi in 2008. She soon won a place for herself in the heart of the judges & the audience & scaled the ladder to the top 7th place over the next 8 months. Throughout her journey, what amazed everyone was her versatility, unusual voice & unique presentation skills.
 
Apart from several stage performances in front of audiences ranging from 500 to 5000 people, she has sung in a few music albums such as ‘Junglegaani’, ‘Sang Sang Bholanath’. She also gave a solo performance in ‘Nakshatranche Dene’ (Zee Marathi) in a program titled ‘Jhing Chyak Jhing’
