Arpita Mukherjee, an Air Force officer's daughter, and an Economics (Hons) Graduate from Delhi University has a strong musical base with her classical and semi classical training.
She was the WINNER of the "GOLDEN VOICE HUNT" on Zee tv’s SAREGAMAPA and has also been part of several other popular shows such as “FAME GURUKUL” on Sony tv, celeb-special Antakshri shows on Star one and Doordarshan and also hosted a musical show for Etv. She entered mainstream Bollywood when she sang the title track of the movie “kuch meetha ho jaaye” for Himesh Reshammiya. She has also sung for the movies “It’s a man’s world” and “Rivaaz”.
“Ye chand” her debut music video released by crescendo, for which music was composed by Sukhwinder Singh went on to top the charts and was well appreciated by masses and critics alike. She has lent her voice to a first of its kind Diwali album, "Deepawali Aayee Re", a collaboration between Crescendo, Bajaj Group and Indiatimes and also to the the album “Aasma ke Paar” released by Sony music. Her voice has featured in the title track of the popular serial "Palampur Express" on Sony tv and the upcoming “Noorie Returns” on Sahara One. She has also sung a theme song for the popular serial “Balika Vadhu” on Colors. She has also sung for a Marathi film "Ringan" and for Television jingles.
Arpita has performed extensively in India & abroad for big corporate houses, government undertakings, fashion shows, music festivals and public concerts. With a wide repertoire of songs she has the ability of taking the audiences on a sublime journey from the golden era classics in Hindi, English and Bengali to the latest contemporary chartbusters and keep them enraptured with her highly entertaining performances.
