Santnu - a multi-talented artist, who writes, composes and sings his own songs with great energy and compassion. A trained Hindustani Classical Vocalist, Sangeet Visharad (B.A. in Music) from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, whose performances have been showcased on many leading television channels like Star Plus, Zoom TV and many others. His style of singing ranges from cotemporary Indian to popular music and likes to write and sing in multiple languages.
He started learning music at the age of eight and composed his first song at the age of fifteen for Kya Mastii Kya Dhoom, a talent show on Star Plus. Since then there was no looking back.
With a collection of more than 40 self-written, self-composed songs, Santnu proudly presents his first album Kshh Na Le on the occasion of World Anti –Tobacco Day that comprises two foot-tapping yet prolific tracks, Kshh Na Le & Dump That Cigarette, an English version of the former.
‘Smoking is the worst addiction. Having lost some of my closest friends to it, I realize my moral duty of creating the awareness of its ill-effects to everyone that I come across in this life. Kshh Na Le is a reminder and a warning to the smoker to stop now or repent later in life. I am most grateful to Himanshu Chawla, the powerhouse of talent from New Delhi who agreed to come aboard this project and has contributed so much with his beautiful track arrangements and unique beat-boxing rhythm style.
The wonderful guitar and rhythm arrangement by Himanshu has rendered a dance-track feel to the song and I am sure that after listening to these tracks, the smokers among my listeners will think twice before picking up their next cigarette.
