Tamir Khan was born in India in the year 1985, he started music as a hobby but later it became his profession, he became more dedicated to his music during graduation days & later started writing & composing.His music revolves around and reflects the thoughts, beliefs and values of life. He has a powerful voice that can touch the soul of the listeners.
Tamir also formed a band named “Raqs” in his graduation days, which allowed him to grow as a musician and he also learned to play guitar so that he can improvise his composition.
During this period the band also got opportunities to perform in clubs & college festivals, and added to his hunger to grow as an artist. After that, he went to work on solo projects, on composing new songs. He had gained a growing fan base; he decided to take his work to next level.
Unlike other artists, Tamir can compose and sing in various Genres of music including alt rock, pop, or Sufi but Urdu pop is his favorite genre. His lyrics show a real picture of society which allows listeners to relate to his lyrics, together the combination becomes very gripping & full of soul.
Achievements
•TV channels & magazines have showed an interest and continued showing him support like Zee news & Doordarshan.
•His band Raqs was selected for “Channel V” rock show Launch pad. And were listed in the top 20 bands of India.
•His song Jaagore was selected by Tata tea for their campaign 2009. (it is available to listen to on youtube.com).
•His Song Badariya was selected by Asha Kiran of the Spanish NGO to play as the theme song to their radio.
